About the Artist
Amy Meade, originally from the Washington D.C. area, currently resides in the Laurel Highlands of Western Pennsylvania with her husband and two children. While Amy has always had a great love of art, she chose a career as a Masters level social worker. As a therapist, Amy has worked with individuals of all ages, but found a special connection in working with Hospice patients and those battling chronic pain and disease. Through this work, Amy pursued advanced training in mind-body medicine and found the benefit of mindful activities for one's health and well-being. When introduced to the medium of glass, Amy found a peace and relaxation that is reflective in her pieces. After much interest and support from others, Amy pursued the founding of Fused Earth.
